An overview of experience
My experience as a Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages began as a volunteer in Glasgow and then moved into a full time role in South Korea. From this a teaching role with the British Council in Bahrain and then into the UAE and Oman, teaching at Colleges and Universities. With this breadth of experience my personal practice deepened and through supporting colleagues pedagogically I moved into a Teacher Training role.
Since 2011 I have been working as a freelance consultant on a variety of projects as detailed below.

Cambridge University Press
CUP Project Manager - NIS/CEP/ERC Author Training, Kazakhstan
May 2016 - October 2016 - Worked with a team of 12 Author Trainers to build capacity in country, writing text books in Russian across eight subjects over two Grades (5 and 7)

2021 – Virtual delivery and mentoring from August to January delivered to Primary Teachers in China.
2021 April – delivered the first blended delivery to Primary teachers in China, with remote support to follow until August 2021.
2019 May, 10 day Teacher training delivery in Guangzhou, China with remote support and online assessment until August.

2015 BC Ukraine, Aug – blended course delivered to 3 groups of national teachers and supervisors, delivered off-site. This continued with supported observations and visits in Jan 2016.

2020 Jan, Niger - delivered training to volunteer club leaders of Tertiary and Secondary clubs.

SMS Projects
2013 / 2014 – materials creation / development of 3 years SMS content for the British Council Senegal and Orange mobile phones. This involved creating one years’ worth of SMS based language learning with a weekly test, graded through three levels within the year, linked by topic within each level at lower, medium and advanced grades.
